My top 5 states to visit!

My Top 5 places to travel in the U.S. (for now)

Hey friends!

Throughout the past 14 years, my family and I have made it our goal to check off all 50 states. This has been an amazing experience and I am so grateful that I was given the opportunity to explore so many incredible parts of this corner of the world. Although I could go on and on about the special qualities that each place has to offer, I am going to narrow in and list my top 5! Stay tuned over the next couple of weeks as I recap the highlights of each trip in a more in depth and thorough manner! Let the adventure begin!

  1. Hawaii

  2. Utah

  3. Massachusetts

  4. Maine

  5. California

1. Hawaii

Right before starting my senior year of high school, I took a trip to Maui, Hawaii with my Mom and my younger sister Tes. We spent five days exploring, relaxing, laughing and enjoying great food. Some of my trip highlights include cliff jumping, driving on the road to hana, surfing and drinking pina coladas in the pool. We had so many amazing moments and I am so excited to return and make more memories.

2. Utah

My family and I ventured out to Utah to visit the beautiful Zion National Park. We decided to schedule this trip in the middle of January and that ended up being extremely beneficial for our experience! In the middle of January, the park was practically empty and the weather was wonderful, ranging in the 60s and 70s each day. We barely made a dent on the amount of nature there is to explore in Zion and I am excited to take more trips to hike out in Utah’s vast mountain ranges.

3. Massachusetts

Massachusetts is so high on my list for two simple reasons: Boston and the beach. Boston is such an antiquated city with so much character. I enjoyed walking around the city, listening to the history, taking in the narrow streets and walking along the famous freedom trail. One of my favorite qualities about Boston is its location. Boston is close to many other lively cities and is under an hour away from the beach. The easy access to so many other wonderful places makes the entertaining city of Boston high on my list.

4. Maine

Although my stay in Maine was brief, I thoroughly enjoyed my time exploring a local town known as Kennebunkport, Maine. This seaside town consisted of adorable shops, delicious lobster rolls and the sound of waves crashing against the rocks. One of the most special parts about Maine was the elegant little chapel overlooking the powerful sea. I was at peace in the quiet chapel while looking out at the wonderful and powerful flow of God’s creation.

5. California

My first experience with California was quite overwhelming due to the extensive L.A. traffic and the heightened atmosphere that encompases the L.A. area. However, my opinion of California completely changed when my family and I explored the city of San Diego. Ranging in the mid 60s each day, San Diego’s pleasant weather was just one of the many wonderful experiences that my family and I appreciatedI. We enjoyed walking along a pier overlooking the bay, relaxing by the pool and seeing seals play along the rocky coast. Now that I was enlightened on all of the beautiful places that California has to offer, I am so excited to explore someplace new!

I'm excited to take you along my adventures!
